Bethany & Sean's Wedding at Brown County Inn

I remember Bethany's initial inquiry so clearly – she mentioned a margarita bar and a queso fountain and I remember looking at my fiancé and saying "Babe, I need this wedding in my life. These two are having a QUESO bar. We're perfect for each other." Thankfully, these two decided we were a good fit and we made it happen. On a breezy June afternoon, they married at Bethany's parent's home and then had their reception at the Brown County Inn – a venue her family owns and I also had the pleasure of shooting back in the fall! Bethany's mom own's a floral shop too, so you can thank her for blessing us with allllll those beautiful flowers. And did I mention their first dance was to Beyonce's XO?! They had so many fun, special touches that made the day just perfect for them. Thanks you two for including me in it!

Lisa & Matt's Intimate Elopement in the Catskill Mountains

On a beautiful November day, right before a shoot, I checked my email. Lisa had sent me an inquiry with something along the lines of "We're just ready to make it official and we're going to the Catskills." I shot her an email back and later that week we met up for coffee. From there, everything fell into place.

David & Hannah's Southern Inspired Lake Michigan Engagement Session

David and Hannah have something special – their love story is all about coincidence and it makes me so so happy that I get to be the one to tell that story. When it came to planning Hannah & David's engagement, we new we had to do something a little different. They live in Chicago but didn't want to do the typical Chicago engagement session, so we did some research and landed on a cute, unique town in Michigan. We started at the B&B that they picked out specifically for it's southern charm and ended at (unexpectedly) foggy Lake Michigan. It was the perfect contrast for these two and I am in looooove with them and this session! But don't take it from me, just keep looking.

Vintage Gypsy Inspired Session in Bloomington, Indiana

A couple of months ago, Laura and I got together to plan a couple's session for her and her (now!) husband. You might remember these two from their whimsical elopement in Yosemite National Park back in October – you can find it on Green Wedding Shoes here. Of course our ideas spiraled into something else, and we ended up reaching out to Lauren of Homegrown Florist and Kaitlyn DeSpain to collaborate on our shoot! We got rained on but made the most of it and came out with some of my favorite pictures to date. Scroll through to check out the whole session!
