Personal Travels | Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

This trip was one of my favorites to date. I've been to Europe once before but I didn't take as many pictures as I wish I had. This time around I had a camera around my neck the entire trip, making sure to capture everything that caught my eye. We began in Rothenburg ob der Tauber – a classic, beautiful medieval town. Cobblestone streets, quaint shops, and rolling landscapes galore. I had my first latte of the trip there and it's one I won't ever forget! From there, we moved on to Munich. We explored, ate too much food, and drank too much beer. Munich is a rebuilt city but it still has a ton of heritage and natural beauty to it!

Before leaving Munich, we took a day trip to Salzburg, Austria. Originally, I was planning on skipping that trip but I am so glad I didn't. Salzburg has many historic areas and is well preserved – if you ever have the chance to go, take it. Our next stop was Switzerland but we made a side trip to Neuschwanstein Castle and Lichtenstein on the way. From there we drove on to Switzerland, aka one of the most breathtaking places I have ever been. I wasn't hoping for much, but the minute we hopped off the bus and started walking towards our bed & breakfast I was in awe. There are really no words to explain how beautiful it is, you just have to go! Before we even had a chance to finish dinner, we raced up to the highest point in the little town we were staying in to watch the sun set over Lake Lucerne. It was a magical experience I hope to relive again.

I'm so thankful to have a job where I have the flexibility to take time off and explore what the world has to offer. It's a great opportunity to gather inspiration from new places and come home refreshed. Scroll through for some of my favorite snapshots and maybe gather some inspiration for your next trip!
