Lisa & Matt's Intimate Elopement in the Catskill Mountains
On a beautiful November day, right before a shoot, I checked my email. Lisa had sent me an inquiry with something along the lines of "We're just ready to make it official and we're going to the Catskills." I shot her an email back and later that week we met up for coffee. From there, everything fell into place.
Fast forward to the day after Valentine's Day. My best friend Laura and I are in New York and heading to Foxfire Mountain House where we would be staying for Lisa & Matt's wedding weekend. By Saturday, it was sunny and in the 50s – unseasonable for February, but just perfect for their wedding day. They got ready together while listening to A Charlie Brown Christmas, made some sandwiches for the day, and started off on their adventure. We spent the afternoon exploring (thanks to their mountain man officiant Jeff from Catskill Mountain Wild) and Lisa and Matt exchanged their vows in a secluded spot by Kaaterskill Falls. It was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful days I've had the honor of witnessing and photographing.
