Alivia & Justin's Autumnal Wedding at The Old Barn at Brown County

I’ve been following Alivia on Instagram for awhile now (isn’t that the way all stories start nowadays?!) and I was SO excited when she got engaged and contacted me to photograph her’s and Justin’s wedding! It was a beautiful fall day in brown county and the florals by Pomp & Bloom added the perfect edgy touch to the rustic venue ✨ Thank you both for letting me do my thing and capture your day while you two focused on spending it with all your favorite people!

2018 Year in Review

What a year. 114 shoots and 31 weddings – to say my hands are a little tired would be an understatement, but my heart is so so happy. I traveled to New York (x2), Washington, California, Montana, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, and a few other places along the way. How did I get so lucky to photograph all of you people?! I seriously can’t believe it. I could have included about 1000 more images but for now here’s a glimpse into 2018. Enjoy your NYE everybody!

Shannon & Dan's Wedding at The Armory in South Bend

Pro tip 1) get married in a greenhouse. It’s cozy, the lighting is AMAZING, and it makes for a cool backdrop. Photographing Shannon & Dan’s wedding almost convinced me to move to the desert (those pastel tones have my heart) BUT I love the midwest and its ever-changing scenery, so I’ll stick with greenhouses and spontaneous trips out west for now. Special thanks to the lovely Michelle of Photography by Greenbird for second shooting this day with me!

Audrey & Hunter's Modern Riverside Wedding at North Bank Park

New favorite wedding trend – no bridal party. Don’t get me wrong, they’re fun and crazy and I love ‘em. But, Audrey and Hunter nixed the idea and instead just had their closest friends hang out while they got ready for their day and it was the best thing ever. No stress, no last minute dress steaming, no “who’s on for makeup now?” Just hanging out, eating chipotle, and taking it all in. It made for some precious pictures and gave us a little extra time to adventure around the city before they headed over to North Bank Park to say I do! And how about that venue?! You really can’t go wrong when you’ve got that gorgeous view of the Columbus skyline. Scroll through for some good modern minimalistic wedding inspo!

Hannah & Taylor's Cozy Vintage Farmhouse Wedding

This day will go down as one of the most beautiful ones I’ve photographed. Not because of the dress, the location, or the details – but because of the people. The forecast read 100% rain all day, but I knew if anyone would make it work in their favor, it’d be these two. As I walked into their GORGEOUS old home on a chilly September day, candles were lit everywhere and the love hanging in the air instantly made you feel at ease. Everyone was helping make their now-indoor wedding look perfect (and it did) while Hannah got ready upstairs with her closest friends gathered around. I could go on and on about how beautiful this day was inside and out, but I won’t get too sappy for now. Go look for yourself 🧡

Bryttani & Robbie's Summertime Wedding at Story Inn

One of the maaaany things I love about these two is how much they care about their friends, family, and each other! Even with rain in the forecast, they didn't have a worry in the world. They just wanted to enjoy each other's company and party the night away with their favorite people – and they did just that. Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Wittman!
